PLOT: Based on the true story of Vince Papale, a 30 year old bartender who made Philadelphia's professional football team in an open tryout in 1976. Vince still holds the record as the oldest rookie to play pro football (excluding kickers) without ever having played college football. PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THE MOVIE IS NOW OPEN. FOOTBALL PLAYER REQUIREMENTS To be eligible for consideration, players must be between the ages of 18 - 35 years of age, and must have extensive FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE. Players should NOT be seeking NCAA eligibility through a USA college program. Selected player positions are paid positions. Selected players are expected to be local hires in the greater Philadelphia area, available to attend practice and shooting sessions as dictated by the schedule. NOTE: THIS IS A PERIOD PIECE FILM SET IN 1976. INTERESTED PLAYERS SHOULD LET YOUR HAIR GROW! We will be casting athletes true to the period, i.e., no lineman taller than 6'3" or heavier than 270.
