It's Good to be the King by George Bozeka. A biographical article on James Sean Patrick "King" Corcoran (AFA Hall of Fame Class of '82)
By George Bozeka
The life and times of minor league quarterback James Sean Patrick "King" Corcoran are an outrageous mix of eccentric facts and fanciful tales. In the last of three NFL Films productions concerning Corcoran, Steve Sabol stated that in over forty years of making football films Corcoran was the most flamboyant player he ever met, a minor league superstar with a major league personality. With the King, it is often difficult to tell where the legend ends and the truth begins, but his story is always compelling, and ultimately rather tragic.

Lingerie Football League players proud to put skin in the game (AFA Hall of Famer Anthony Bartley, Class of 2011)
"Sex sells, especially coming here to Vegas, that's one of the main things that attracts tourists," said Anthony Bartley, the Sin offensive coordinator. "We're not Sin City for nothing. We're going to have a lot of fun committing that sin, too."
But Bartley and everyone else attached to the Sin emphasize the point that scantily clad women playing tackle football is more than a gimmick. These are not strippers pretending to be athletes, at least not anymore. Anthony wrote: "I am the offensive coordinator, first game opens Sept. 2nd in Chicago vs. The Chicago Bliss."

Smartphone QR Codes
QR codes have been around for a while, and many big corporations use them. In the past six months, though, small companies in the U.S. have flocked to the technology, thanks to services that let them easily create codes. Meanwhile, numerous phones, including many Androids and BlackBerrys, come with an app that reads QR codes. (Others, like the iPhone, must download the software.) Scanbuy Inc., a New York company that develops and manages QR codes, estimates that 30 million people in the U.S. have a code-reader app on their phone.

Stay tuned for more QR codes from the AFA as we rollout raffles, lottery drawings, videos and other interesting info via these codes. By the way, we already have ads with our code in the NY Jets & Giants Gameday Yearbook Programs.

To test our code, just scan the QR code to the right with your Smartphone.
