The Warhawks is a semipro team that plays in the National Public Safety Football League, and their games benefit charity. "We're a football team that's comprised of all police, fire, EMS, military police, corrections, anything in the public safety field. Our team is comprised of just full-career people," said Nicholas Eid, with the Baltimore Warhawks.....
Destroyers win WSFL championship
They may be semi-pro football newbies, but the upstart Door County Destroyers are championship material.
In just their second season of existence, the Destroyers dominated on offense, stifled on defense and cruised ahead to a 17-7 win over the considerably more established Sheboygan County Rebels in Saturday's Wisconsin State Football League championship.......

Hudson Falls' Hammond inks with IFL team

Tim Hammond can partly thank technology for continuing his football career as a professional.
The former Hudson Falls standout signed his first pro contract last week with the Iowa Barnstormers of the Indoor Football League. "I have a Europlayers account - it's a website that provides guys who want to continue their careers after college with contacts with teams and agents," said Hammond, a 23-year-old offensive lineman. "My agent's been doing a great job getting me in contact with teams."
A few weeks ago, Hammond got a message on his Europlayers account from Joe Brannen, the head coach and director of player personnel for the Iowa Barnstormers.........
